Inside the Hagia Sophia.  I think the main guy would go to the top of these stairs to deliver his talks.  Just guessing.

This is the central feature in the front of the building.  I can't remember for sure but I think we were told that this may have been added by the Muslim conquerors and faces Mecca.  It is a little off center in order to point in the right direction.

This is the front of the cathedral.  Very lovely in the sunlight.  I can see the draw of stained-glass windows in a church.

The royal box, just to the left of the front of the chapel.

We are walking on the south balcony.  The balcony surrounds the chapel on three sides.

One of the shops in the Spice Bazaar.  The place smelled wonderful.

Looking across the courtyard and waterway from our dinner at the Hamdi Restaurant.

Marlene at the restaurant.  We had a nice meal.  Lots of choices, most of them pretty good.

Another picture of the four missionaries and their mission president and wife  (The Roth's) at the mission presidents' seminar.

The ladies taking advantage of one of the poor shop owners again.  Sister Lawrence, Sister Schwitzer and two of the mission president's wife.

The man in the group is our Moscow ward bishop, Henry Cosak.  He took the ladies to the Grand Bazaar and made sure they were safe.  I think I heard that the shop owners asked him about his wives.
He will soon be the mission president in Berlin.  He is a genuine character and a wonderful man.  He will be a great mission president.
